Free Trial form not authorizing credit cards

[s2Member Pro] We are using a PayPal pro form to offer a free 10 day trial. After the trial is over, their subscription starts and billing begins on that day. However, when the card is charged on the 10th day there are many failed transactions due to wrong card numbers inputted or declined cards submitted on day 1.

We have tested and can complete checkout with a fake card number. Why aren’t the cards being authorized at time of checkout? Is there a fix for this?

Here is the shortcode we are using:
[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form level=“2” ccaps="" desc=“10 Days free / then $9.99 USD / Monthly (recurring charge, for ongoing access)” ps=“paypal” lc="" cc=“USD” dg=“0” ns=“1” custom=“www.**secure**.com” ta=“0” tp=“10” tt=“D” ra=“9.99” rp=“1” rt=“M” rr=“1” rrt="" rra=“2” accept=“paypal,visa,mastercard,amex,discover” accept_via_paypal=“paypal” coupon="" accept_coupons=“1” default_country_code="" captcha=“0” success="/welcome/" /]

Thanks for the assistance!

Can you offer “10 days trial for $0.01”? This way Paypal will check the card at subscription time.

That wouldn’t work because of the credit card processing fees just to process a .01 charge. From the looks of how this feature is written, free trials with authorization is not possible.
