First month free and then automatically charge for monthly subscription

Hi everyone, I just got s2member pro and are in the process of setting up my membership site:) My ideal workflow would be to have customers receive the first month free and then automatically get billed with a monthly subscription fee. So the only way for the user to not get billed monthly would be to cancel their subscription. My questions are,

  1. Is this possible with s2member?

  2. What payment gateway do you recommend for this process (paypal, stripe, authorize.net or clickbank)?

  3. How can I create a member profile page were users can easily see their billing history, next billing cycle date and option to cancel their account?

I am looking forward to getting started with s2member!

Cheers,

Boris

Looking for the same thing, with an additional option to allow users to select between 2 subscription plans (standard and premium) when signing up…

Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Yes. Use a trial period of 1 month and the subscription payments will kick in at the end of that period.

  2. It depends on your needs. I normally recommend Stripe because the money is automatically deposited in your account after a few days, but if your potential members are used to paying with their PayPal account that won’t work for you. Same with Authorize.net. ClickBank is harder to set up than any of the others.

  3. s2Member does not store billing information but you can create a Login Welcome Page with their EOT date (date their subscription ends) and an option to cancel (or upgrade).
