ezPHP not updated since 3 years

Has this plugin been abandoned? I need it to use some code for s2Member.

If not, can it be updated in the repository so we won’t get warnings from Wordfence or other security tools?
If it is, can one recommend an alternative?

Maybe consider a similar plugin:

The one above let’s you use [insert_php][/insert_php]tags for raw PHP code, similar to ezPHP’s [php][/php] shortcode.

You can find others in the WordPress plugin directory when searching for “php code” or “php snippets” or similar.

I checked the plugin’s code, it is safe to me. And there is nothing to “upgrade”, thus no changes recently. I see no reason to not use it.
