I know this is not strictly an s2member question but I am hoping for some experienced users help
Can members exports to cvs from s2member be imported to excel? I have noticed that some data is recorded with added code like this check box data
a:2:{i:0;s:15:“NW2”;i:1;s:13:“NW3”;} for example
Can excel be made extract the data ie in this case NW3 NW3

I see that I can export with the easy read option which removes all the added s2member form data.
I presume this file will open in excel ok.
I have a a question with regarding whether to use the advanced export option or not. If I wanted to simply export as a backup not using the advanced export, I presume I could if needed, import this CSV back into s2member to re-populate the members list?
Yes, exporting all the DB as backup to CSV is OK, can import it later. But if you strictly need info from s2M fields (to download or to modify it), you must use the advanced export/import way.
