Effect of deactivating s2Member

My client would like to deactivate s2Member. What will happen to all the users?

So long as you don’t uninstall s2Member with Plugin Deletion Safeguards set to No, the users will remain in the database with their current roles, although any subscriptions they have will not work.

Well, it is more accurate to say that “Memberships” will stop working: they will still be subscribed to the site. They’ll be able to log in, etc…

To clarify…if I set Plugin Deletion Safeguards to Yes the users will still be there. Correct?

Yes. They will still be there and can still log in to the site.

@krinaK: But if there will not be a membership plugin to handle memberships, memberships, restrictions and subscriptions will not works.
