Does Billing Modification/Update Form Work for Cancelled Subscription?

A past subscriber emailed me to ask to re-subscribe. When she cancelled billing, S2member demoted her from a Level 1 member to Subscriber, so in theory she can still log in and access the billing modification/update form. If she goes in and adds a billing method back to her account, will S2 member restore her to Level 1, or would I need to create and have her fill out a new form?
