Do I still need a Plugin like S3 Media Vault or S3 Media Maestro?

I am setting up streaming videos on Amazon’s S3 server.
My Wordpress site will allow members to view and stream these files.

Do I need an additional plugin like S3 Media Vault or S3 Media Maestro to protect the streams if I have S2Member?
