Can I use s2Member to enable vendors appear in a directory listing wordpress site?
So the pages should be viewable for anyone but the vendors should appear in the listing over a subscription.

You will need to restate your requirement. I have no idea what is being protected.

Nothing is being protected.
The vendors are being listed only if they pay a subscription.

So the content being protected is a list entry.
