Our websites keep showing too many failed login attempts and it counts down to 1 minute and then goes right back to 30 minutes. No one can log in, including admins. Is there anyway to get back in as we have a ton of members and I can’'t just delete s2member? Also any ideas what could have cause this all of a sudden on multiple sites server wide?
Completely Locked Out of Site
To get back in, rename the s2Member folder (say, by adding 1 to the end). This will deactivate s2Member. Then login. Then change the name back, and reactivate.
Now you can check what’s going on. If you have good logs, perhaps you can see whether you really are being subjected to a huge brute force attack. If not, my guess is that something is going on with your .htaccess file.
Where do you rename the s2Member folder? I can’t find it on my laptop?
