Can't get free trial subscribers to access the content for their membership level

Ok so I have 3 paid levels (gold, platinum and diamond) and they all have specific pages they can access in those levels and those pages I have set up to be connected to the level they are for. I have set it up so that they get a free 7 day trial of the membership, now this is where it gets confusing…

When I had a diamond sign up for the free 7 days, she couldn’t access any content. It didn’t show up as an option to “click here” for the content.

I had a look around the knowledge base and set the restriction to level 0 (free subscriber) and made the custom capabilities the specific levels (eg; gold for gold members or platinum for platinum members). No joy.

I thought that perhaps I needed to create the same content page but for level 0 so when they log in as a free subscriber during their 7 day trial, they could get access to the same content page until their paid subscription kicked in. I added no custom capabilities and still… No joy.

It seems to me if you’re going to do a 7 day free trial of a membership level that they would get access to whatever that membership level is supposed to have… But anyway, I need help asap. How do I get content available to people on the trail for each membership area?

If you had the content restrictions and levels set correctly then what you are describing should work. Based on what I’ve read here this is what I believe your leves are:

Gold - s2Member Level 1
Platinum - s2Member Level 2
Diamond - s2Member Level 3

So. Your Diamond Member should be able to access Diamond, Platinum, and Gold content if each levels pages were set to the correct level. (Diamond should be s2Member Level 3, etc…)

Could you please post your Membership Levels and the specific Page Restrictions you have set up?

You also say that you the content didn’t show up on the “page” for the Diamond level User as an option to “click here”. How did you set that up? Was it a link? A button? A menu? Did you use a Page Builder to create the Page and, if so, which one and what kind of “block” was the code that didn’t show up created in?
