Cannot Bypass s2Member's Default Clickbank Thank-You Page

S2Member offers an option to Bypass the default thank you page altogether in the below section S2Member > Clickbank Options > Clickbank Thank-You Page > optional customizations . However I am not able to make it work.

The button I am using is the below capability buy now button:
[s2Member-Pro-ClickBank-Button cbp="1" cbskin="" cbfid="" cbur="" cbf="auto" vtid="" level="1" ccaps="mentalmath" desc="Ofpad Mental Math System" custom="ofpad.com" rp="1" rt="L" rr="0" image="https://ofpad.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Checkout.jpg" output="anchor" /]

The thank you page that I have put in Clickbank is this link as instructed in s2member settings page: https://ofpad.com/?s2member_pro_clickbank_return=1&s2member_pro_clickbank_return_success=https://ofpad.com/mental-math-thank-you/

I completed a test purchase and the capability was added to the test account successfully. The Clickbank Success Page image can be seen below -

When I click the green Download or Access Digital Product I see the standard S2Member Clickbank success page instead of the page I specified in s2member_pro_clickbank_return_success=https://ofpad.com/mental-math-thank-you/

The screen I see is this:

The above screen is not the screen I want and I want it to be redirected to the thank you page I specified directly. However, I went ahead and logged in any way and clicked on the green “Download or Access Digital Product” in the first image again. Clickbank sends me the same green button in an email. After the first time login, I am not asked to login like the previous image but I am greeted with the below thank you page instead.

The thank you page I specified in the s2member_pro_clickbank_return_success=https://ofpad.com/mental-math-thank-you/ is nowhere in the picture.

I want the customer to be directed to the thank you page I specify directly after the purchase.

I have tried all the above steps with both encoded and non-encoded URL - i.e https://ofpad.com/?s2member_pro_clickbank_return=1&s2member_pro_clickbank_return_success=https%3A%2F%2Fofpad.com%2Fmental-math-thank-you

instead of

https://ofpad.com/?s2member_pro_clickbank_return=1&s2member_pro_clickbank_return_success=https://ofpad.com/mental-math-thank-you/

but there was no difference.

What am I doing wrong? Please assist in resolving this.

Did you get any help on this? I am trying to make mine work as well and cannot find any. Please let me know.

Hi Suzan,

s2member is dead. It is no longer supported and the developer will only fix critical bugs.

You just have the default thank you page header to work with. Just embed some video there directing your customer on what to do next. That is the best you have got as of now.

Clickbank also rejected my application stating security reasons. I don’t know what they are talking about and have written to them for which they have not responded. If you want to stick with clickbank and need a better membership plugin, use wishlist member. I personally am planning to just launch my course in teachable under a sub-domain.

Let me know how it goes for you.

Er, no. Some of us do rather well using it.

Er, no again. You just mean you didn’t get what you want. But it seems you have the same experience from Clickbank. Is Clickbank dead?

That’s funny! WM can’t do anything like what I need from a membership plugin. So, again, all you mean is that it works better for you.

You see, everyone’s needs are different. If, instead of recognizing that and sticking to facts, you insist on parading hyperbole, then you shouldn’t be too surprised when those to whom you speak stop listening.

The reason why I said it was dead was because there was not a single acknowledgement from anybody for 11 days after I posted this thread.

If the feature is working, then someone can point out what I am doing wrong. If the feature is broken, at least an acknowledgement that it is broken and would be patched in the future would have been reassuring. But what does silence mean?

Clickbank rejected my product approval request. A human reviewed it and said it didn’t meet the security requirements and I have reached out to them for more information. I don’t know how you are comparing my experience with Clickbank with my experience with s2member. There has been no resolution to this bug as of this date.

So forgive me, if me suggesting an alternative to a fellow user on how to fix her problems, offended you. I was simply stating what I did/planned to do because nobody from s2member bothered to help me with my problems.

I am not offended in the least. But I am irritated that I had notification of a post on this forum, only to find upon reading it that it was full of nothing but inaccuracies and narcissism.

@Tim Kaye - well can you help me then?

I don’t know what you want. You need to post your question in a new thread and explain what you want there.
