Cannot access protected files

Hi guys, we have a client site with looaaaads of protected files in it, they were all working but now, no matter which one you select you get redirected to the member options page.

This happens even when logged in as admin. I’ve checked all the download restrictions and they are set to unlimited for all levels. This is the URL it redirects to:

Any ideas?

Clean the caches didn’t works?

Is there recent changes? May be a conflict.

Hey, I’ve tried clearing the cache a couple of times with no luck. No recent functional changes, the site it quite new, only content changes…

So I’ve brought the development site back online, and that works just fine, the only real different is that the live site has an SSL - could this be causing an issue?

ok I fixed this, it was the SSL. I tool it off and the downloads worked again. I also have ithemes security installed, so I enabled the SSL options in that to force the SSL across the whole site.

It makes sense this fixes it, as when I tried to manually include the htaccess change recommended by s2member my site got stuck in a redirect loop, I guess this setting in ithemes security does a similar thing!

So it IS a conflict… Ithemes, and any other security plugin, crashed s2M - we find this very often.
