Great plugin, thanks - but at this rate it’s going to take like a week to generate the cache and compressed pages for my blog that has about 6k total files. Is there any way to make it go faster?

Are you using the Auto-Cache Engine with the Pro version? If you’re not, then Comet Cache is designed to build the cache as people visit your site. The first time someone visits a page, the a cache file is generated. Then the next time someone visits that page the cache file is used which makes the page load time much faster.
