Auto update issues

Hi folks, trying to update S2Member and Pro from WP but i get the error:

Update Failed: Could not copy file. s2member/src/includes/classes/meta-box-security.inc.php

We’ve had trouble with paid users being downgraded to just “members.”

Would it be recommended to do a manual update in the site’s FTP or could this be a symptom of something else?

I already have the Plug In Protections set. Running WP version 4.7.5 running Avada theme

This error usually means that your file or folder permissions are set incorrectly on your site. Uploading via FTP usually corrects this.

Hi Tim,

Yes looks like it was a file issue of some kind. I checked my client’s Cpanel and their file usage was over the limit. Made some space and was able to update S2Member from WP.
