Any Effect To Disabling wp-cron and using system cron?

For performance, and other reasons, on our site we are considering disabling wp-cron from running every time a page is visited on the site, and using system cron to run wp-cron every 15 minutes.

The only question is if that will adversely affect s2member or comet cache? I can not find any articles about this. thanks :slight_smile:

I have done this on one of my sites precisely to get the most out of Comet Cache’s auto-cache engine. It has worked extremely well. It has had no effect on s2Member, which is also installed on the site.

Thank you for you input. What interval did you set for the server cron
to run wp-cron?
