How can I comp a free year to an existing member if they are currently on a PayPal recurring subscription? There doesn’t seem to be an option to change the next billing date on PayPal’s side, and if I’m not mistaken, PayPal recurring subscriptions don’t look at the EOT field in s2Member.

Right, you can’t change that from s2.
I don’t know if PayPal lets you do that… You could try asking Paypal support if and how you could do it.
